--What does it mean to be Sith?
To be Sith is a mindset. It's a discipline used to sharpen mind and body to break the chains that bind an individual. If you are unsatisfied with the control you have on life the Sith philosophy can lead to freedom.
--What do I have to change in my life?
The Sith code, which is the basis of the order, dictates that the responsibility of change is on the individual. The level of change is directly correlated with how deeply an individual follows the code. We only ask that all who choose to take their first steps as acolytes, memorize the code and practice it.
--Is it going to cost me anything?
There is no "fee" to join, but again, the cost of following the order is directly related to how deeply one follows the code. There are requirements to advance, and they will have cost value, but each is to the advantage of the the individual. For example there are book requirements and martial classes that must me taken to advance. This is necessary to sharpen the minds and body's of all those seeking to gain power through the Sith philosophy. No money will change hands with leaders of the order unless donated by free will.
--Do I have to go to meetings?
The order is in it's infancy. As of now we will not be required to meet, but those who would like to arrange meetings can do so by speaking with a leader.
--Is this a cult?
Cult: Noun.
1.) a system of religious veneration and devotion toward a particular figure or object.
2.) a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.
I believe we are followers of an ideal. No more cultists than vegetarians or pacifists.
--Is this a religion?
No. We simply follow a philosophy to help ourselves rise above the things in life that chain us down.
--Do I have to give up my current religion to join?
Many religions would consider our philosophy wrong or misguided, should one choose to leave or stay is entirely up to that individual.
--What do I get from being Sith?
The Sith code will teach you how to free yourself from the chains that bind you. If you choose to rise in the ranks you will master martial skill, learn maths and sciences, sharpen and expand your mind with literature, and develop a discipline unique. It will give you the tools to lift yourself up.
